Step 1:
Cleansing
You
need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to, and stick with it. Avoid
bar soaps as they tend to dry out the skin.
Vivier Hexam Gentle is great to use for this cold and frigid time of year. This luxurious
pharmaceutical grade cleanser removes impurities, and makeup,
leaving skin feeling clean, smooth and soft.
Some
cleansing tips:
- Be
careful not to cleanse too often or you risk over-cleansing skin. You
really only need to wash your face in the morning and at night to remove
makeup and sunscreen, which can clog pores.
- To
cleanse skin, most women prefer the water method: Use warm water to loosen
dirt and clogged pores. Use a dime-sized bit of cleanser, then rinse with
cool or lukewarm water.
Make
sure to remove eye makeup with a proper makeup remover. The area around the eye
is delicate so don't pull or rub too hard.
In the morning, a splash of lukewarm water is all you need (it's great for
removing excess oils from your nightly moisturizing). Never wash your face with
hot or cold water (both can cause broken capillaries).
Step 2:
Exfoliate
Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their daily skincare routine. If you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will
notice an immediate difference.
The
Vitamin C Scrub by Vivier is a pharmaceutical grade face and body scrub that gently
exfoliates, cleans skin cells, refining skin texture and tone, leaving skin
feeling soft, smooth and vibrant. Infuse skin with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic
Acid to help diminish the appearance of skin imperfections.
Step 3:
Moisturize
How
much should you moisturizer? Your skin will tell you. When your skin is tight,
it's crying out for moisture. Be careful not to over-moisturize -- this can
clog pores.
A
great daily moisture that is idea for all skin types is Vivier Daily
Moisturizing Cream. This oil-free, pharmaceutical grade daily facial
moisturizer is enriched with antioxidants and essential moisturizers to help
increase skins smoothness while helping diminish the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles.
Step 4: Apply
Sunscreen
The
#1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it's important to use a sunscreen of at
least 30 SPF, even in winter and on cloudy days. Don't
use moisturizers with sunscreen at night, the ingredients are not meant to be
used 24/7 and can aggravate the skin.
A
sunscreen lotion ideal for all skin types, including oily or acne-prone skin is
Vivier Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30. The pharmaceutical grade water-based facial
sunscreen provides true broad-spectrum UVA/UVB/UVC protection with SPF 30 in a
light, sheer formulation that absorbs quickly into the skin. This elegant
formulation is ideal for daily use and may be used alone, under makeup, in
compromised skin post-procedure or alongside photosensitive medications.
